The practitioners here are in high demand and are noted by solicitors for being “excellent across the board.”‘– Chambers Global 2022: Dispute Resolution: Commercial
Our expertise is widely drawn and includes disputes concerning banking, securities and derivatives, employment, commercial fraud, commercial agencies, M&A disputes, investments and investment schemes, contracts for the sale and hire of goods, partnership and LLP disputes, private international law, and personal and corporate insolvency.
We also have considerable expertise in Chancery litigation and Chancery-related professional negligence claims. Our experience ranges from the County Court to the House of Lords, and from junior practitioners instructed in mortgagee possession claims to senior silks who sit as deputy judges in the Chancery Division. A number of members of chambers joined us from Chancery sets and have many years experience in the field.
Much of our commercial work has an international element to it and Members of Chambers have specific expertise in jurisdictional disputes and challenges. They also have wide experience of acting in respect of pre-emptive and interim applications for, among other things, freezing orders, search orders, pre-action disclosure and injunctions, including injunctions enforcing post-termination restrains in employment contracts, responding to team moves and restraining misuse of confidential information.
Both Chambers and individual Members of Chambers are consistently ranked in the legal directories as leaders in the field in commercial litigation and dispute resolution and related areas such as employment, banking and financial services. Junior Members of Chambers are frequently recognised as “Stars of the Bar” by the London industry press, as amongst the most talented junior barristers in practice at the Commercial and Chancery Bar.
