The barristers at 4 New Square provide advice and advocacy on intellectual property matters including trade marks and passing off, copyright and designs, confidential information and data security.

Given chambers’ wider commercial expertise, our barristers are well placed to advise on the interaction of intellectual property issues with areas such as company law, insolvency, tax disputes, trusts and jurisdictional matters. They are also experienced in acting on contractual disputes concerning IP rights, including assignments and licence agreements.

In addition, members have extensive experience in advising on professional liability claims with an intellectual property context such as ‘lost litigation’ claims concerning IP matters and allegations of negligence against patent and trade mark attorneys.
