Conor Ewing has a broad commercial practice across Chambers’ practice areas, with a particular focus on professional negligence, construction and energy disputes and product liability.

Highlights of Conor’s current and recent work include:

• Acting as junior counsel for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Tenant Management Organisation in relation to recovery actions arising out of the Grenfell Tower fire (led by David Turner KC, Clare Dixon KC and Isabel Barter).
• Acting as sole counsel for a sub-contractor in a £5 million claim under the DPA concerning alleged cladding and fire safety defects in residential buildings.
• Acting for solicitors in a c.£12 million claim arising out of the sale and purchase of a company (led by Helen Evans KC and Timothy Killen).
• Acting in a multi-million pound cladding and fire protection claim in the TCC (led by Claire Packman KC and Matthew Thorne).
• Acting in multiple claims brought by patients against a leading manufacturer of a birth control product (led by Toby Riley-Smith KC and Anna Hughes).

In addition to his led work, Conor has a busy unled practice. He regularly appears in the County Court and High Court and advises as sole counsel in a wide range of commercial disputes.

Conor studied law at the University of Oxford, graduating with a First Class undergraduate degree and read for the BCL the following year. Before coming to the Bar, Conor was the Judicial Assistant to Lady Justice Asplin in the Court of Appeal, assisting with a wide range of commercial appellate work.
