Charlotte Baker

Charlotte is commercial junior developing a varied practice across a range of Chambers’ core areas. She has a particular interest in commercial litigation and especially in civil fraud and professional liability claims. Charlotte acts as a commercial junior in the High Court and regularly acts as sole counsel in the County Court. She appears unled both for trials and making varied applications (including recent successful applications to set aside a judgment and to strike out a claim).

Before joining chambers, Charlotte served as a judicial assistant in the High Court to Mrs Justice Bacon, Mrs Justice Smith and Mrs Justice O’Farrell across the Chancery Division and Technology and Construction Court (TCC).

Charlotte holds a First-Class degree in History from Jesus College, Oxford, and achieved a Distinction in her Master’s in Modern European History at Worcester College, Oxford. Charlotte went on to graduate from the GDL at City University London with Distinction. Charlotte was awarded a Lord Denning scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn and was called to the bar upon her successful completion of the BVS in 2021.
