Iona studied Law at Girton College, Cambridge, achieving a first class every year, and winning several university and college prizes. While at Cambridge, she was involved in pro bono research projects for the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the Oxbridge Human Development Research Group. Iona went on to study the BCL at Lincoln College, Oxford, the bar course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, and an LL.M at Peking University. Her work has been published in The Law Quarterly Review, Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, and The Journal of Business Law.
