Carola has a commercial practice, with particular focus on civil fraud, banking and finance, sports and professional liability.
Carola has experience of acting as junior counsel in complex and high-profile litigation, including two of The Lawyer’s ‘Top 20 Cases’. Carola also has a busy unled practice, which sees her regularly appear as sole counsel in the High Court and County Court. She is recognised as a “Rising Star” in Commercial Litigation and Civil Fraud by the Legal 500 and as “Up and Coming” in Banking and Finance by Chambers & Partners.

Carola has experience of challenging and high-profile multi-party litigation. Several of her recent instructions have had multi-jurisdictional aspects. She is comfortable dealing with complex quantum issues and has experience of specialist proceedings, including claims under the Arbitration Act and under the Financial Services and Markets Act.

Carola advises and represents individual athletes with respect to disciplinary and contractual matters and has acted as junior counsel in several high-profile disputes. She has experience of proceedings before a range of sports tribunals, including the Court of Arbitration for Sport, FA, Premier League and ICC disciplinary panels and FA Rule K arbitral proceedings. In appropriate cases, she accepts instructions on a pro bono basis through the CAS and Sport Resolutions pro bono schemes.
