Former Wall Street Journal Reporter’s Conviction Overturned

An appeal Court in Turkey has overturned Alya Albayrak’s criminal conviction for an article she wrote while a reporter for the Wall Street Journal in 2015. The decision was handed down on 13 November 2018. Can Yeginsu was instructed by the Wall Street Journal for Ms. Albayrak, together with Professor. Köksal Bayraktar and the leading independent Turkish law firm, Hergüner Bilgen Özeke.
