William Buick free to ride in the Investec Derby

News & Judgments
31 May 2017

On Friday 27 May Graeme McPherson QC acted for William Buick, the retained jockey for Godolphin, on his appeal against a 5 day suspension imposed by the York Stewards on 20 May 2017 for careless riding. The effect of that suspension was to rule William out of the Investec Derby meeting. As a result of the successful appeal before the Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority, William is now free to ride the Dante Stakes winner PERMIAN in the Investec Derby.
