We are pleased to report that 4 New Square Chambers’ Roger Mallalieu KC, Matt Waszak and Theo Barclay have contributed to the recently published costs and funding supplement to the White Book 2025, Costs & Funding following the Civil Justice Reforms: Questions & Answers, now in its 11th edition.
Roger, Matt and Theo are between them responsible for five of the book’s nine chapters, on: funding litigation (Chapter 2), proportionality (Chapter 3), qualified one-way costs shifting (Chapter 6), assessments of costs and payments on account (Chapter 8) and the effect of the Jackson Civil Justice Reforms on solicitor-client costs (Chapter 9). The aim of the text is to tackle common practitioner questions on costs and litigation funding.
