Carl Troman named Professional Negligence Junior of the Year 2022
Professional negligence claims lie at the heart of Carl Troman’s practice. He acts for and against a wide range of professionals including lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers, construction professionals and financial advisers. Carl regularly appears in the Court of Appeal and works on legally, factually and procedurally complex multi-million pound disputes. Often those cases have an insurance law dimension, which is another of Carl’s specialisms. To read more about Carl Troman’s professional negligence practice please see his website profile.
Congratulations to Patrick Lawrence KC and Michael Bowmer who were also nominated for the Professional Negligence Silk and Junior of the Year awards.

Our barristers appear in many of the most prominent and high value professional liability cases. Jackson & Powell on Professional Liability, the leading practitioner book on this area of law, continues to be edited in house.

Whatever the claim, whatever the profession and whether acting for the claimant or the defendant, we bring to it both an understanding of the underlying circumstances and experience of similar cases.
Our work in this area extends to issues of professional indemnity insurance, including disputes as to avoidance or denial of cover and as to the meaning and effect of policy terms.
