Teen Jui Chow

Teen Jui is a commercial junior with experience across all of chambers’ practice areas. He has a particular focus on general commercial litigation, civil fraud, insolvency, insurance, intellectual property, and sanctions. He also has experience in public law and human rights, and is on the Government Legal Department’s Junior Junior Panel.

Teen Jui has recently appeared in the Court of Appeal on behalf of the successful appellant in Chartered Institute of Legal Executives v Mazur [2026] EWCA Civ 369, recognised by The Lawyer as one of the Top 10 appeals of 2026. Other recent highlights include representing the successful applicant for reverse summary judgment in the High Court in Powis Street Estates (No. 3) Ltd v Winston & Strawn London LLP [2025] EWHC 2974 (Ch); [2026] P.N.L.R. 10.

Before coming to the Bar, Teen Jui read Law as an undergraduate at Trinity College, University of Cambridge and graduated with Double First Class Honours, winning several College prizes. He was then awarded a Princess Royal Scholarship from the Inner Temple to study for the bar course at City, University of London, where he graduated with a Distinction. Before commencing pupillage, Teen Jui studied for the Bachelor of Civil Law at St Cross College, University of Oxford, graduating with a Distinction.

Teen Jui maintains a keen academic interest in the law. His work has been featured in leading legal journals such as the Cambridge Law Journal, Lloyd’s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, and the Journal of International Banking and Financial Law. He is an editor of the fifth edition of Toulson & Phipps on Confidentiality (Sweet and Maxwell, 2026).

Teen Jui is fluent in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia, and accepts instructions in both those languages.
