Helena has experience in large-scale commercial litigation.

Recent highlights include:

• Instructed as junior counsel in LLC Eurochem North-West-2 and another -v- Société Générale S.A. and others [2025] EWHC 1938 (Comm), a €280 million claim against various banks concerned with the non-payment of on-demand bonds issued in connection with the construction of a fertiliser plant in Russia, which raised untested issues relating to EU sanctions restrictions (led by Justin Fenwick KC, with Tim Chelmick, Marie-Claire O’Kane and Emile Simpson).
• Instructed as junior counsel in LLC EuroChem North-West 2 v Société Générale SA [2025] 6 WLUK 298, an application concerned with a party seeking to withhold a relevant document that fell to be disclosed and inspected due to the alleged risk of criminal prosecution in Italy if the document was produced (led by Justin Fenwick KC and Tim Chelmick).
• Instructed as junior counsel in LLC EuroChem North-West-2 v Societe Generale SA [2025] 6 WLUK 565, where the Court determined whether certain groups of documents should fall within a previously established confidentiality club (led by Justin Fenwick KC and Tim Chelmick).
• Assisted (as probationary tenant) in a multi-million dollar claim for relief in respect of the mismanagement, unlawful dissipation and devaluation of fund assets, including a portfolio of artworks, by the directors and advisers of the funds. The claim involved allegations of dishonesty and conspiracy to defraud, breaches of fiduciary duties and unconscionable receipt (supervised by Thomas Ogden).
