Lucy Colter will join leading fraud experts at this year’s IBA Asset Recovery Conference taking place on 4-6 December in Madrid.
This year’s conference focuses on tackling obstacles in asset recovery. Topics include defeating defenses in recovery cases, complex asset recovery in maritime and diamond industries, targeting professionals behind asset protection schemes, and assisting smaller fraud victims. The event will also cover the impact of sanctions, insolvency tools for cross-border fraud and insights from regulators
Lucy will speak on 5 December at 2.45 pm, in a panel session titled “Targeting professional service providers who are the architects of asset protection and concealment models“.
This session will examine the role of law firms, accounting practices, and other professional firms engaged by alleged fraudsters to create asset protection and concealment strategies.
The panel will be moderated by Martin Kenney of MK Law with panel members including Anna Gumowska of G3, Rodrigo Kaysserlian of KK Advogados, Eliseo Martinez of Ius Aequitas and Anthony Riem of PCB Byrne.
