George Spalton KC will be speaking on a panel during London International Disputes Week. George will be part of the International Arbitration Day, hosted by 3VB on 1 June 2026.
The event will highlight the central role of the Bar in international arbitration, from advocacy and decision-making to shaping the evolution of arbitral practice. The day is designed to foster thoughtful discussion and meaningful engagement on some of the most pressing issues facing the field.
The programme will explore themes including due process, defence sector disputes, and the future direction of international arbitration, across four panel sessions:
- Due Process Challenges: Is Arbitration Getting Worse or Are Courts Getting More Activist?
- Reimagining Arbitration: Three Bold Ideas
- What’s round the corner? Horizon scanning for the next disputes waves
- Arbitrating Defence Sector Disputes: Confidentiality, Sovereignty, and Strategy
George will be speaking on the final panel, “Arbitrating Defence Sector Disputes: Confidentiality, Sovereignty, and Strategy”, exploring the unique challenges and opportunities in arbitrating disputes arising from defence contracts. The panel will take place between 4:30pm and 6pm at The Inner Temple.
