Douglas James will chair an Adjudication Society debate hosted by the London Committee in partnership with the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025.

The motion under debate is: “This house believes there should be more Dispute Avoidance Boards and less Statutory Adjudication in public works’ contracts in the United Kingdom.”

The panel will feature leading experts including Veronique Buehrlen KC, Professor Renato Nazzini, Patrick Waterhouse, and Jeremy Glover, who will offer their insights on the future of dispute resolution in public works contracts. The discussion promises to be lively and insightful, exploring the benefits and challenges of Dispute Avoidance Boards versus statutory adjudication.
