Cyrus Benson will be serving as an arbitrator in a session at the 2026 PCA Hague Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot, taking place on Friday 20th March at the Peace Palace, Netherlands.
The PCA Hague Vis Pre-Moot offers students competing in the 33rd Vis Moot a valuable opportunity to practise their pleadings ahead of the main competition in Vienna. Bringing together law students and leading arbitration scholars and practitioners from diverse jurisdictions, this year’s Pre-Moot features a case concerning a SIAC arbitration over the sale of rare orchids, governed by the CISG. The dispute raises key issues including exemption from liability under Article 79 CISG, the scope of damages, and procedural questions under the 2016 and 2025 SIAC Arbitration Rules.
