Cyrus Benson will be speaking at an empirical study on the Annulment of Investor-State Arbitration Awards in Domestic Courts, co-organised by BIICL and Baker Botts.
The event will take place on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, from 19:00 to 21:00, at Baker Botts’ Fenchurch Street offices.
This study reviews 170 non-ICSID annulment proceedings across 16 jurisdictions, finding that national courts annul awards far more often than ICSID tribunals, largely due to broader grounds such as public policy and jurisdictional issues.
