Mr Justice Michael Green has handed down a much-anticipated decision on the scope of reliance and delay claims in securities fraud litigation in Various Claimants v Standard Chartered plc [2025] EWHC 698 (Ch).
The Court doubted whether an earlier decision by Leech J in Various Claimants v Barclays plc [2024] EWHC 2710 (Ch) was correctly decided and dismissed an application by the defendant for strike out and summary judgment in respect of claims valued at more than £750 million.
