Two new tenants for 4 New Square Chambers

Chambers is delighted to announce that both Simon Teasdale and William Harmanhave accepted tenancy offers following the successful completion of their pupillages.

Head of Chambers, Mark Cannon QC said: “We are delighted that Simon and Will have completed their pupillages so successfully and wish them continuing success as members of chambers.  Both are extremely able and personable.”

Simon is developing a broad practice in Chambers’ core areas, regularly accepting instructions to appear in a range of hearings and trials in the County Court. Simon has also been instructed to advise on commercial disputes, and draft pleadings in claims against lawyers and construction professionals. Prior to commencing pupillage, Simon worked as a Legal Editor at FromCounsel, where he gained experience of corporate law. His work often focused on the changes made by the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015. Simon read Law at New College, Oxford, graduating in 2014 with first class honours. He went on to complete the Bar Professional Training Course, for which he was graded Outstanding. Simon was called to the Bar in 2015 by Lincoln’s Inn, having been awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship, Hardwicke Scholarship, and Buchanan Prize.

Will is developing a broad commercial practice in line with Chambers’ specialisms. Before undertaking pupillage at 4 New Square, Will completed the Bar Professional Training Course (graded Outstanding) and the Graduate Diploma in Law (with Distinction) at City Law School.  He was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn as a Lord Denning Scholar, Hardwicke Scholar and Buchanan Prize winner. Will also holds a first class degree in Modern and Medieval Languages from the University of Cambridge, where he received the prize for the best performance in Italian.
