Barristers from 4 New Square gave a seminar on the subject “Litigate in haste, repent at leisure” at Old Government House, Tortola on Thursday 14 November 2013. The session was chaired by Justin Fenwick QC and talks were given by Alex Hall Taylor, Michael Bowmer and Graham Chapman. The event discussed the recent Madoff decision in the English Commercial Court and also considered standstill agreements, freezing injunctions and the apparent dichotomy between director and trustee inertia, while also considering recent offshore decisions such as Weavering. Chambers was honoured to welcome His Excellency, the Governor General who was in attendance. A copy of the handout can be downloaded here.
