Simon Monty QC appointed as Circuit Judge

We are delighted to announce Simon Monty QC has been appointed by Her Majesty the Queen to be a Circuit Judge at Central London with effect from 9th March 2018.

Simon was called to the bar in 1982 and took silk in 2003. He has been a a member of chambers for 32 years specialising in professional liability and Chancery and more recently acting as a mediator. In 2010 Simon was appointed as a Recorder and in 2013 he was authorised to sit as a Judge of the Chancery Division of the High Court.

Head of Chambers, Mark Cannon QC, said: “Although we are sad to see Simon go, we are delighted at this appointment.  Simon has already shown that he has all the qualities needed to be an excellent judge.  Chambers’ loss is the Bench’s gain.”
