Emilie Jones

Emilie is instructed across a broad range of Chambers’ areas of work and has particular experience in professional liability, construction and general commercial work.

In the professional liability field, Emilie has experience of claims involving solicitors, barristers, accountants, insurance brokers, surveyors, construction professionals, estate agents and managing agents. Emilie’s construction practice frequently sees her instructed on behalf of construction professionals including in particular architects, as well as for employers, contractors and sub-contractors. Emilie is also instructed in a range of contractual disputes and has experience of advising on policy and coverage issues and acting in disputes relating to coverage.

Emilie is regularly instructed to appear in both the County Courts and High Court in a range of trials and interim applications. She also enjoys and has considerable experience of working as junior counsel on larger cases.

Before joining Chambers, Emilie read Law at Merton College, Oxford, where she achieved a first class degree and a Distinction in the BCL. A member of the Middle Temple, she received a Diplock Scholarship during her Bar School year and was awarded a Campbell Foster prize for her performance on the BVC.

Emilie has also spent three months working as a Judicial Assistant to the Court of Appeal.
