Paul is ranked in Chambers and Partners as a leading junior in construction work and is highly recommended in particular for both general Professional Negligence work (band 2) and Professional Negligence (Technology and Construction). Commendations in the directories include: "the thing that struck me most was the way he went that extra mile to organise things and get back to you." In addition, "he always gives sound tactical advice and has a very practical approach"; having a “magician’s knack for making a lot of what seem to be insignificant points”; praise for his hard work and ability to work as a team player; and being “thorough and experienced in construction issues”.
Over the past 15 years Paul has been instructed in very many major multi-party cases (including Panatown, Braehead (Glasgow), the Blackwall Tunnel and Wembley Stadium litigation, and Buncefield). Paul is very accustomed to working as part of a team of lawyers and experts in substantial litigation and arbitration. He enjoys the challenge of working with others to master complex factual and technical issues, as well as difficult points of law, and to develop the best strategy to achieve success for his clients.
Paul is a co-editor of Jackson & Powell on Professional Liability (Sweet & Maxwell, 6th edition, 2007) and is a former lecturer in law at King’s College London.
