Nick is developing a broad commercial practice across all areas of Chambers’ work with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation and professional liability.
Before joining Chambers, Nick read law at Queens’ College, Cambridge, where he obtained a double first and was an Exhibition, Foundation and Squire Scholar and won the University ECS Wade Prize for Constitutional Law. Nick also attended Hertford College, Oxford, where he obtained a distinction on the BCL.
Nick has considerable commercial experience having been an investment banker in M&A at Morgan Stanley prior to coming to the Bar.
During pupillage, Nick assisted his supervisors in conference, mediation and court. He drafted opinions and pleadings in a wide range of commercial disputes relating to professional liability, contractual interpretation, insurance coverage, construction, product liability and financial services legislation.
In his own practice, Nick has taken on written and court work in a variety of commercial and civil cases, involving mortgagee and landlords’ property claims, solicitors’ negligence, product liability, bailment and the supply of goods and services.
