Nick has a broad practice across all areas of Chambers’ work with particular emphasis on commercial litigation and professional liability.
Before joining Chambers, Nick read law at Queens’ College, Cambridge, where he obtained a double first and was an Exhibition, Foundation and Squire Scholar. Nick also won the University ECS Wade Prize for Constitutional Law and was awarded the Venn Prize by his college for outstanding distinction in his first year. As a postgraduate Nick obtained a distinction on the BCL at Hertford College, Oxford.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Nick gained considerable commercial experience as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley.
Nick is developing his practice in all areas of chambers work, but with a particular focus on: solicitors, surveyors and brokers negligence; property litigation (including mortgage and lender claims); construction cases; and insurance disputes.
Nick has recently completed a secondment at a leading city firm where he specialised in advising Independent Financial Advisors and their insurers on a variety of points. These included policy interpretation, notification, non-disclosure and aggregation issues.
Nick has been involved in a led capacity in a large IT related international arbitration and a high-profile private banking dispute.
Nick regularly advises on and appears in court in a large variety of commercial and civil cases.
