Michael obtained a first class degree in law from Kings College London where he was awarded the Strand Trust Prize for the best overall performance in Part II of the LLB and the Cameron Waller Prize for the best overall contribution by a mature student. Michael was a Diplock Scholar of Middle Temple and also a Leonard Sainer Legal Education Fund Scholar.

Michael has first-hand business experience having been called to the bar after a career with a leading fine art publishing company.

Michael has also been acting in various arbitrations including an international arbitration under the rules of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, as well as disputes with an international or technical dimension.
