Seanin Gilmore joined chambers in 1997 after pupillage here. By then her achievements included a first in English at Cambridge, a Prince of Wales Scholarship from Gray's Inn and the Lady Shaw Prize for the highest achievement by a woman of Gray's Inn in Bar Finals.
She has acquired some considerable experience in construction work, ranging from international construction arbitration to adjudications and professional liability claims involving construction industry professionals. Her other main areas of work encompass general commercial litigation, insurance and reinsurance, professional liability claims involving legal professionals, insurance brokers and surveyors/valuers.
Seanin was also called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in November 2002, and has recently been instructed on Northern Irish cases involving construction professionals.Seanin has particular experience in the field of pre-emptive remedies, including freezing injunctions and preservation orders.
Seanin has undertaken public access training and is permitted to accept instructions directly from lay clients.
